Johann Josef Fux: Oper Daphne in Lauro

Als Hofkapellmeister am Wiener Hof der Habsburger hat Johann Josef Fux (ca. 1660 – 1741) eine enorme Anzahl von geistlichen und weltlichen Kompositionen für alle Anlässe am kaiserlichen Hof verfasst, u.a. auch 18 Opern.
Zum Geburtstag von Kaiser Karl VI. hat er diese Oper 1714 komponiert. Ausschnitte aus der Oper zeigen sein hervorragendes Können.
